Motivation Hacks to Work Up a Sweat

1. Get a buddy! Find someone who's just as motivated as you so that when you feel lazy, your friend(s) will pull you up. Plus, it’s always double the fun when you have someone to share the journey with!

2. Put on your workout clothes. If you've already worn your sports clothes, you're less likely to take it off again without doing some form of exercise - because, laundry (we're students who don't deserve to be doing unnecessary laundry).

3. Plan your workout

Leg day, Abs Day, Arms day! If you have a plan in mind, you won't be lost wondering what to do next which ruins your spirit REALLY FAST.

4. Have an end-goal in mind.

Be it The Rock or a Victoria's Secret Model, it's always good to have a role model. (It is of course unlikely that everyone gets to their levels but it's a good source of motivation!).

5. Buy some awesome gear!

Sport pants, a dry-fit shirt - anything, really. Get yourself excited to wear and flaunt them at the gym or at the nearby park you go running at.

6. JUST DO IT. There is no 'the right time'. Usually people will say "Oh, I'm too busy" or "I'll do it later in the day". Most likely, that workout will never see the light of the day.

* Top tip for PMC students, best time to work out: after class/during long breaks. (Going home requires extra effort for zero gains!)
