So you decided today, let’s not stick to our usual schedule. Let’s go do something impromptu and fun. Something you normally never do. Perhaps maybe you are bored out of your brains and wondering if there is anything that you could actually do. Well there are a few events going on in Georgetown which you could look out for and join if you are interested.

1. Georgetown Night Trail (26 May 2017)
Take a guided walking tour lit by the moonlight as you are shown all the architectural and cultural highlights of Georgetown. You might have seen some of it during the day but have you seen in under the beautiful night light and who knowns what else you might see in the streets at night. The theme for that night will be the Indian and Muslim Heritage trail.
2. An Evening of Lights at Khoo Kongsi (27 May 2017)
Tired of your mundane Saturday nights? Go on to Khoo Kongsi on Cannon Square. On this one night, Khoo Kongsi turns on all their lights in the courtyard which is guaranteed to be beautifully lit. Along with that you can also witness some cultural shows and performances just to keep the night alive. There will also be food stalls and shops selling home-made knick knacks for you to take home as a reminder. The event starts at 6.30pm and is expected to end at 9pm. 3. Guided Walk at Penang Botanical Gardens (27 May 2017)

If you have been to Penang but not been to the Botanical Gardens, you are definitely missing out. Why not on that Saturday morning take a morning walk through the botanical gardens as you take in the fresh air and this gives you a chance to meet some new people and who knows what could happen in a garden so beautiful surrounded by the blooming flowers. 4. Dr. Balloon’s Science Adventure (21 May 2017)
Have a little brother or sister? Maybe you want to relive your childhood once again. Head on to Dr Balloon’s Science Adventure where Dr Balloon (British entertainer Rebecca Kitter) takes you on a journey and shows you all the wonders of balloons. It is said that her show and her whacky ways are sure to keep the crowd entertained. If you are interested in balloons and want to be a kid again why not head on down to this event.
